The Trustees are preparing for the planned closure of The Albert Hunt Trust in January 2029 and have decided how the grant-making will operate until then. Although they retain the flexibility to revise these plans if circumstances change, they want to be open and transparent by sharing their current intentions and decisions now, as follows:
Hospices: To ensure fairness for hospices across the UK, any hospice that submits a funding application during 2026 will be informed that they may apply for funding one final time in 2027. Applications from hospices will then close permanently on 31 December 2027.
Homelessness & Health & Well Being: For all applications submitted during 2026, beneficiaries will be advised that they can apply for a final time in 2027, with open applications closing on 31 December 2027.
During 2028, the Trustees will determine how to distribute the Trust’s remaining funds and will invite selected potential beneficiaries to submit proposals before the Trust closes in January 2029.
